Who is the brain behind the World Record Egg?
And the brain behind this bizarre sequence of events is 29-year-old Chris Godfrey and his friends Ms Alissa Khan-Whelan, 26, and C.J. Brown, 29. Chris is an advertising executive based in London and came up with the idea after finding out Kylie Jenner held the previous record. He told the NY Times.
“An egg has no gender, race or religion. An egg is an egg, it’s universal. Could something as universal and simple as an egg be great enough to beat that record?”
After the birth of the egg on Jan. 4, Mr. Godfrey stayed anonymous. But he, Ms. Khan-Whelan and another friend, C.J. Brown, 29, agreed to speak to The New York Times to tell their story and explain their intentions. “We felt that the time was right to come out,” Ms. Khan-Whelan said. “We can put any speculation to bed.” Ref: New York Times

Why talk about Mental Health?
Five out of the ten leading causes of disability around the world are mental health issues. And a mental health crisis is enveloping India. Mental health issues are issues ranging from depression, anxiety, obsessions, suicidal behaviour to substance dependence, schizophrenia and bipolarity. Suicide is the second leading cause of death among college students. We don’t talk about it as much as we talk about other diseases, but you’ll be shocked to know that 300 million people worldwide are suffering from depression.
I thought it was stress, so I tried to distract myself by focusing on work, and surrounding myself with people, which helped for a while. But the nagging feeling didn’t go away. My breath was shallow, I suffered from lack of concentration and I broke down often. Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone shared her story of having battled depression through 2014.
It was scary. One year had passed and I wasn’t responding to medicines until the fourth doctor from Delhi treated me. At one point, I thought I would live in this darkness forever. I had cut myself off from everyone. I didn’t come out of my room, forget stepping out of the house. I had a beard and I didn’t get a haircut for months. For someone who has performed in front of a crowd of 20,000, I was scared of facing 4-5 people. That’s what bipolar disorder does to you. Yo Yo Honey Singh opened about him suffering from bipolar disorder in 2017.
